Rainbow Telecom extends national reach with new Burton-Upon-Trent office

"Rainbow Telecom has extended its national reach with the opening of a new office in Burton-Upon-Trent, adding to its offices in Brighton and South London.

Dave Corgat, MD, commented: "We now have over 2,500 customers under maintenance contract covering the whole length of the UK, and by opening the new office we can give even greater levels of service to our customers.

Rainbow gains Accredited Partner status from Oak Telecom

"Rainbow Telecom has gained Accredited Partner status from Oak after meeting growing demand for Oak’s aiOffice call management and SmartApplications CTI products.

Rainbow has been dealing with Oak since it was set up in 2002 with a focus on the SMB and Enterprise markets. The company operates from offices in the Midlands and the South East.

Rainbow's MD Dave Corgat said: "Accredited Partner status has helped us to grow sales revenues for Oak products by over 500% against the previous 12 month period. We have had success with the promotion of call recording, selling both to our existing customer base and new clients. Having Oak working closely with my sales team has helped to deliver fantastic successes in targeting vertical markets, so much so we have now recruited a team dedicated to selling Oak products.”

Rainbow acquires DiGiTech

"Rainbow Telecom has acquired Peterborough based Inter-Tel dealership DiGiTech.
 
The acquisition is the Kent company’s seventh merger/acquisition in five years. Managing Director Dave Corgat told Comms Dealer: “Initially we acquired Symphony’s customer base which strengthened our core business. We improved our engineering capacity by acquiring Leveline and then reinvested all profits and expanded our customer base and maintenance revenues with the acquisitions of Compass, Progressive, Comec and now DiGiTech.
 
“With the formation of Rainbow Global Networks and our Mobile offering with Rainbow Bizcom we have taken our customer base to well over 2,500."

Rainbow’s Steve gets Hammered

Football loyalties can cause passionate banter in comms companies up and down the land and none more so than at Kent-based Rainbow Telecom. In the nail-biting conclusion to last season’s relegation and promotion dog fight Rainbow’s Technical Manager Steve Cope, a life-long Millwall fan, bet sales manager Fred Barton, and Managing Director Dave Corgat, both die hard West Ham supporters, that Millwall would reach the Championship play offs and that Premiership strugglers the Hammers would be relegated. It was agreed the loser would have to wear the other team’s shirt for a whole day in the office.

West Ham’s well documented last minute escape from the drop and Millwall’s play off failure was finally acknowledged last month when loser Steve duly donned a Hammer’s shirt for the day, much to Fred’s delight. “That day had to be one of the best days in the office ever,” said Fred. Steve was later seen heading for home after wiping the windscreen of his car with said garment!”

The real winner was Comms Dealer charity Children with Leukaemia which received a Rainbow cheque for £200 (£25 for every hour Steve was ‘Hammered’).
